Kobalamín (vitamín B12) je vo vode rozpustný esenciálny vitamín, ktorý hrá úlohu v neurológii.

Ako užívať

Pre dospelých je odporúčaná denná dávka (RDA)  2,4 mcg za deň (za určitých okolností, ako je tehotenstvo, sa užíva vyššia dávka). Zdá sa, že 100 mcg stačí na zníženie homocysteínu u tých, ktorí majú nedostatok B12. Osoby, ktoré sú ohrozené nedostatkom B12 (väčšinou staršie osoby a vegáni) sa doporučuje dávka okolo 1 000 mcg (1 mg) doplnkového vitamínu B12.  Túto dávku je najlepšie užívať len krátkodobo s monitorovaním hladiny v krvi, aby sa predišlo nadmernému dávkovaniu a potenciálnym rizikám.
