Pôsobí na: rast svalov a cvičenie, zachovanie celkového zdravia
Aminokyseliny s rozvetveným reťazcom (BCAA) sú tri aminokyseliny, ktoré zlepšujú rast svalovej hmoty. Nachádzajú sa aj v potrave (napr. vajíčka alebo mäso), čím je suplementácia pre väčšinu ľudí zbytočná.
Užívanie
Štandardná dávka samotného izoleucínu je 48-72 mg/kg telesnej hmotnosti. Dávka kombinovaných BCAA je 20 g s vyrovnaným pomerom leucínu a izoleucínu. Izoleucín sa používa na zvýšenie vstrebávania glukózy do buniek a leucín na zlepšenie syntézy proteínov vo svaloch. Užívanie BCAA nie je potrebné ak je ich dostatok v strave. Bude však potrebný ďalší výskum na zistenie optimálnej dávky valínu a dôvodov užívania.
