Izoleucín

Pôsobí na: zachovanie celkového zdravia, zlepšenie citlivosti buniek na inzulín, rast svalov a cvičenie

Izoleucín je jednou z troch aminokyselín s rozvetveným reťazcom a zdá sa, že podporuje spotrebu a využitie glukózy. Môže pôsobiť ako anti-katabolické činidlo (ale nepodporuje syntézu) podobne ako HMB.

Užívanie

Izoleucín je dobré kúpiť iba ak očakávate zvýšenie využitia glukózy. Čo sa týka syntézy svalových bielkovín, prekonáva ho leucín a čo sa týka spomalenia úbytku svalovej hmoty, prekonáva ho HMB. Izoleucín prekonáva obe tieto látky a aj valín vo zvýšení absorpcie glukózy do kostrových svalov.
Odporúčaná dávka izoleucínu je 48-72 mg/kg (3,3-4,9 g pre 70 kg človeka). Izoleucín sa okrem doplnkov stravy vyskytuje aj v potrave. Takýto izoleucín je tiež bioaktívny, preto môžu byť dávky izoleucínu užívaného spolu s jedlom znížené (napr. mäso obsahujúce 50 g bielkovín už obsahuje 4 g izoleucínu. Preto nie je potrebná dávka napr. 10 g ale stačí užiť už iba 6 g).
